Blueprint Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join an independent Engineering Consultancy, on a contract basis.

The selected candidate must be able to commute to the London office on a hybrid basis.

Our client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to be responsible for overseeing projects and ensuring Electrical inputs are correctly designed and installed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure design work is in accordance with departmental procedures
• Produce detailed calculations using software tools, including, Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD and Revit
• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems
• Complete site surveys and inspections
• Ensure the understanding of project briefs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams through the design process
• Maintain and develop positive client relations

• Reviewing progress, including reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the project lead
• Attend project and client meetings when required

Key Requirements:

• Critical Engineering experience
• Past Consultancy experience is desirable
• A degree in Electrical Engineering

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Prior experience working on Data Centres with a focus on MEP systems
• Strong communication skills
• Extensive experience using Amtech, ETAP, EasyPower, AutoCAD, or Revit
• Working knowledge of the principles of building physics
• Previous experience leading projects is beneficial

• Ability to be client facing
