Electrical Field Service Engineer
Overview:
We are recruiting for a long established specialist in the supply and repair of electric motors, gearboxes, pumps and fans who are based in Wellingborough.
As part of ambitious growth plans, we are looking for an enthusiastic Field Engineer to join a friendly and well established team.
As a Field Engineer, you will work both on site and in our workshop, to assess, repair, and instal industrial motors, gearboxes, and pumps in a wide array of industrial applications.
This is a perfect role for a competent engineer that likes variety and problem solving in a friendly, mature and values based working environment.

Reports to: Managing Director
Responsibilities and duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair AC and DC motor control systems at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to motor controls on a wide variety of machinery
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients across a variety of industries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product and service quality
- Follow electrical and mechanical codes, manufacturers guidance, and operating manuals to maintain safety and compliance
- Collaborate with other engineers to coordinate installation and where appropriate repairs
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and documents
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, whilst complying with the Company’s Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others
- Add-hoc project work
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the management
Requirements:
- Proven experience with AC and DC motors, servo and motor controls
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended period of time
- The aptitude and attitude to fit into a growing business in a technical field
- Detailed knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and safety
- Strong practical and problem-solving skills
