My client is looking for electrical maintenance engineers to join their busy operational engineering maintenance team. You will be responsible for fault finding, repairing and maintaining my client’s assets across a range of operational sites. This is a reactive maintenance role, so an adaptable and proactive approach is key. You will carry out planned maintenance scheduled activities on operational assets.
Core duties and key responsibilities:
- Delivery of quality maintenance support using electrical, control and process systems which will help to maintain or minimise the risk/impact to customers.
- Carry out repair and maintenance across operational sites. Diagnose faults on all aspects of asset control, electrical systems and automation.
- Work with other disciplines in a mobile field team.
- Working in confined spaces.
- Liaise with all staff affected by any work undertaken.
- Requirement to compile or update any site engineering documentation which enables operational functions to carry out, support and maintain the works process and performance.
- Proactively support internal customers in line with the client’s strategy
- Ability to plan, prioritise and carry out works satisfactorily as required.
- Conform and always adhere to current ISO, H & S systems, procedures and policies.
- A willingness to undertake training as is required to ensure continued improvement of technical skills
- Comply with all business rules relating to delivery of and feedback regarding all maintenance activity.
Essential experience:
- Industrial/Commercial experience
- Understanding of Wiring Diagrams
- Experience of process control and electrical systems
- Experience to include maintenance of front-line instrumentation
Essential skills/knowledge:
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Calibration and maintenance of frontline instrumentation
- Ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for all aspects of work delivery
- Good communications skills
- A full UK driving license
Salary and Benefits:
- £34368- £40729 pa DOE
- On call (1 in 8 weeks) – top up when on standby
- Call out top up
- 37 hour working week, static 8am-4pm shift
