Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Site Supervisor to manage on-site electrical works within a dynamic mechanical and electrical (M&E) contracting environment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong electrical trade background and proven experience in coordinating complex site activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Site Coordination: Liaising and coordinating site activities with other trades, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Reporting and Planning: Producing weekly reports for line management and developing two-week look-ahead schedules for upcoming works.
- Safety and Compliance: Conducting weekly toolbox talks, enforcing health and safety protocols, and ensuring all sub-contractors adhere to safe working practices. Completing weekly 'don't walk by' cards. Reviewing sub-contractor plant and access equipment certifications.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high-quality standards for all electrical works and ensuring sub-contractors work efficiently.
- Resource Management: Managing labour requirements in line with project programme specifications.
- Material Management: Ensuring all plant and materials are delivered and stored according to agreed specifications.
- Variation and Delay Management: Notifying line management of all variations and delays.
- Documentation and Meetings: Attending daily and weekly site meetings.
- Housekeeping: Ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained by all sub-contractors.
Essential skills and experience:
- Relevant electrical trade certificate.
- Significant experience in a similar supervisory role within an M&E contracting environment.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Data centre project experience is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
