Assembly Technician
Key Responsibilities
Assembly of the electrical wiring in the Stormsaver control panels (PLC).
Assembly of the plumbing in the Stormsaver control panels (training given).
Assembly of all mechanical and electrical equipment, using the correct hand tools in a safe and correct manner.
Testing and monitoring of equipment prior to delivery to the highest quality standards.
Quality check and testing of equipment prior to delivery.
Prepare and pack all equipment to suit the production schedule.
Load and offload equipment from delivery vehicles either by hand or using the forklift in a correct and safe manner.
Keeping standard of Health & Safety high in the workshop areas, wearing PPE as dictated by the Health and Safety Policy.
Keeping own workspace clean, tidy and free of debris.
Assist with stock taking and understand the importance of accuracy for this task.
Manage and maintain stock levels to the quantity required and notify the Operations Manager or re-ordering requirements well in advance.
Accept incoming deliveries, check and unpack and store in the correct area of the workshop. All to be done in a timely fashion. Report all incoming stock or any missing/damaged items to the Operations Manager. Ensure you pass all paperwork and POD’s to the finance team.
Work closely with the project co-ordinating team to deliver the production schedule, advising on timescales to enable us to meet our clients requirements.
Ensure that all data stored in the CRM is current and up to date to deliver accurate information.
Support team members to complete any tasks as required from time to time.
Be creative with solutions and ideas and contribute actively to meetings and ideas sessions.
Provide technical help to customers and your fellow colleagues and ensure that you are expert in your field so that your advice can be relied upon.
Liaise closely with the sales estimators, design team, engineering and operation team to deliver projects to requirements, on time and to the highest quality, within the quickest practical timescales.
Assist with research and development as required.

Follow all company policies and procedures.
Answer incoming calls to the manufacturing department.
Recycle / dispose of waste and packaging in and environmentally friendly way.
Manage all administration created by your own work. E.g filing, updating hard copy and digital records and maintaining any information in the CRM system as required.
Any other reasonable tasks that may be required from time to time.
Skills:
Electrical engineering qualification to BTEC Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
Forklift operator
Understanding of Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment
A team player
Enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
Ability to think on your feet and be self-motivated
Organised and methodical with attention to detail
Computer literate with a knowledge of Microsoft Packages
GCSE Maths and English a minimum of Grade C/5 or above
A full UK driving license
Experience
Minimum 2 years working in a electrical engineering / manufacturing environment.
Experience working with all areas of electrics, pumps, and control systems

Full time position based at Hockerton, near Southwell in Nottinghamshire.
Office hours 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
Salary for a Level 2 qualified candidate of between £22,500 - £25,000 dependent on experience.
Salary for a Level 3 qualified candidate with a minimum of 3 years electrical assembly
experience of between £24,000 - £26,500 dependent on experience.
