Position: Electrical Technician
Salary: £30,000 - £39,000

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our Electrical & Electronics Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks including harness design, schematic and system design, BOM creation, as well as harness assembly and testing. Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, service, and test production assemblies, ensuring compliance with safety and assembly instructions.
- Conduct prototype and pre-production builds to refine assembly processes and resolve pre-production issues.
- Manufacture custom prototype parts using fabrication and machining skills.
- Collaborate with the departmental manager to manage workload and meet project timelines, cost, and quality requirements.
- Utilize the established engineering concerns process to capture and track issues, ensuring effective solutions are implemented promptly.
- Comply with health and safety policies, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
- Create and maintain accurate build records throughout the build process.
- Support test and demonstration events for new products.
- Engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay up-to-date with industry standards and practices.
- Research new technologies and processes to enhance engineering capabilities.
- Follow relevant procedures, standards, and guidelines to complete tasks efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and safe workspace, utilizing the 5S workplace organization methodology.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Specialized technical knowledge acquired through advanced training, such as BTEC National Certificate, ONC level, A-Levels, or Scottish Highers in a relevant discipline.
- City & Guilds Level 3 (NVQ-3) or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Engineering or Build Technician, ideally within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, engineering consultancy, or motorsport environment.
Skills Required:
- Comfortable working with detailed work instructions and Safe Systems of Work.
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Basic fabrication and machining skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Confident, customer-focused, adaptable, and flexible.
