Embedded Software Engineer - Avanti : Job Details

Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a leading engineering consultancy in the Cambridge area, that due to recent project wins is expanding their R+D capabilities by adding an Embedded Software Engineer to the team.

You'll come in, working on cutting edge technology in the security/defence space, so will require sole British citizenship for the necessary security clearances - don't worry, we're not talking about weapons or missiles, but instead; communications, radio, and signal jamming technology. Although this is the project you'll begin working on, the business also take projects on in other sectors, including; consumer, life science, healthcare, cellular, and energy, which are all areas you will opportunities to work in.

This role will require security clearance, so all candidates MUST have sole British citizenship & ability to obtain clearance up to UK Eyes Only.

What we're ideally looking for:4-5 years (or more) experience working in an embedded software-related roleStrong programming skills in C & PythonVarious MCU/processors & communications protocols/peripheralsBare Metal or Embedded Linux development experienceGood understanding of electronics (schematics, PCBs, datasheets, as well as hardware debugging)

It would be great if you have:Embedded Linux experienceStandards-driven development experienceCurrent or prior security clearance
