We are excited to offer a full-time position for an Emotional Support Teaching Assistant at an inclusive and welcoming school in Winchester. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is dedicated to helping students with emotional and academic challenges, and is ready to make a positive impact on their educational journey.

About the Role:

  • Deliver one-on-one support and small group interventions to build students' confidence, resilience, and engagement.
  • Help students maintain emotional stability during lessons and manage any challenges or distractions they may face.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure students can participate fully in class and make academic progress.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with students, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to address the individual needs of each student.
  • Contribute to the school's approach to emotional and educational support, ensuring the well-being of all students.

You should be:

  • Empathetic, with a genuine desire to help students overcome emotional challenges and engage in their learning.
  • Experienced, with a background in supporting students in a classroom or similar educational setting.
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to the changing needs of students and provide tailored support.
  • Calm and patient, with the ability to offer a reassuring, supportive environment for students.
  • Skilled at building strong relationships with both students and colleagues, fostering trust and respect.
  • Available for full-time work with the potential to grow and take on additional responsibilities.
