Overview
  • Supporting new client acquisition and client retention.
  • Lead and develop a team of consultants, elevating their skills and ensuring they deliver outcomes that meet our clients' unique needs.
  • Act as a liaison with benefits providers to ensure that all service level agreements are met consistently.
  • Assist in the development of the Specialist Markets proposition, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to help drive business growth.
  • Responsible for conducting in-depth research into the relevant industry sectors, producing high-quality thought leadership and insights articles, and leading the benchmarking data that highlights our market positioning.
How you'll make an impact

People Management and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of consultants, enhancing their skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Set and monitor performance metrics, conducting regular reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Empower consultants to promote Specialist Markets' offerings and drive cross-sales.

Client Excellence and Retention:

  • Ensure high-quality consulting services that meet or exceed client expectations, contributing to client retention and identifying cross-referral opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to improve client satisfaction through direct engagement and feedback.
  • Support client owners with key clients, providing industry insights and identifying new service opportunities.

Provider Liaison and SLA Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison with benefits providers to negotiate tailored deals for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with providers to develop innovative solutions for clients.

Industry Research and Insights Production:

  • Conduct research on trends in asset management, life sciences, and technology to inform client strategies.
  • Produce thought leadership articles and insights to demonstrate expertise and provide client value.
  • Lead benchmarking data and contribute to sales and marketing activities.

General Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships to provide efficient client service and handle expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet business requirements and deadlines.
  • Improve client experiences and profitability through standard methodologies and efficient processes.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, laws, and regulations, and take responsibility for remedial actions if needed.
About You
  • Validated experience in employee benefits consulting, with a strong understanding of the UK market.
  • Experience in asset management, life sciences, and technology is beneficial.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a track record of driving client satisfaction and retention.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and written communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling insights and reports
  • Experience in negotiating with providers and leading SLAs effectively.
