Employment Advisor - Reed : Job Details

• Hourly rate: £24.46 PAYE / £31.39 LTD UMB per hour 
• Location: Erith
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (36 hours per week)

We are seeking an Employer Engagement Advisor for a local authority based in Erith. This is an immediate start position in an office-based setting. The role is ideal for someone with experience in social care, education, or similar fields, who can support individuals who have been out of work for extended periods and help them move back into employment.

• Support individuals who have been out of work for longer periods by breaking down employment barriers and providing tailored assistance to enhance their employability.
• Work closely with businesses and partner organisations to source employment opportunities for registered clients, including paid employment, work tasters, and working interviews.
• Deliver support in accordance with contract requirements using both models of Supported Employment; Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF).
• Collaborate with a wide variety of local agencies, partners, employers, and colleagues within the team to provide the best support to individuals.

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within social care, education, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of employment barriers and how to assist individuals in overcoming them to secure employment.
• Experience working with Supported Employment models such as IPS and SEQF is highly advantageous.
• Excellent partnership-building skills with the ability to work effectively with various local agencies and businesses.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
