Energy Consultant

This is a great opportunity to join an independent environmental specialist consultancy who ensure sustainable construction and energy-efficiency for their projects. They are on the lookout for an experienced Energy Consultant who would look to take the lead for their sustainability department.
Role responsibilities include:
- Lead a team of sustainability and energy consultants on numerous projects within the construction industry
- Produce SAP assessments and calculations to ensure clients projects are in compliance with Part L
- Undertake thermal bridging and U value heat loss calculations
- Mentor and help the more junior staff members professionally develop
- Carry out energy assessments for existing dwellings and provide sustainable solutions to clients on their construction projects to minimise their environmental impact
The ideal Energy Consultant will have:
- An OCDEA Qualification through a credible accreditation scheme
- Strong understanding of UK Building regulations such as Part L and Part O
- Degree within an engineering, architecture, or environmental science field
- Experience in a relevant role within the construction industry, with demonstratable managerial experience
- It would be desirable to have other environmental services experience such as Air testing or BREEAM.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
