Hours: Monday - Friday (days)

ICB Distillers, part of Fortitude Spirits Group (formally known as Intercontinental Brands / ICB) are currently recruiting an Engineering Manager on a full-time permanent basis.

Main Purpose:

The Engineering Manager will act as a technical expert and support and deliver all the sites engineering requirements. To successfully identify and implement facilities, process and machinery improvement projects in line with the business objectives. As a key player in the engineering department, you will be more than willing to roll up your sleeves and lead the way for the rest of the team!

Main Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring and guidance of the sites engineering resource
  • Identifying opportunities to improve OEE and safety on site
  • Ownership and development of the sites 5-Why & root cause analysis process
  • Control of the sites R&M budget
  • Control of the sites capital expenditure plan
  • Management of the sites PPM system ensuring it remains up to date and at maximum effectiveness
  • Management and development of the sites engineering team
  • Provide a safe working environment and ensure that all work undertaken complies to current legislation
  • Management and supervision of contractors on site
  • Issue of permits to work to contractors and own staff for high risk tasks
  • Management of site LV infrastructure and maintenance requirements.
  • Management of the sites equipment obsolescence and replacement program
  • Setting and upholding company standards during all projects and working within company policies and procedures.
  • Support in the training and development of new starters, apprentices and graduates as required.
  • Contribute to the development of procedures/ work instructions and continuous improvement activities.

Knowledge, experience, and skills required:

  • Multi-skilled background (ideally through apprenticeship)
  • HNC in an engineering discipline
  • 5-Years experience in an FMCG environment
  • An analytic approach to using data
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Self-starting & tenacity
  • Continuous improvement experience (6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
  • BS7671 17th /18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Health & Safety qualification (IOSH, NEBOSH etc.)
