The Job Role

Somerset Education Alliance are looking for an English teacher based in or around the Taunton area who is driven and dedicated to educating and guiding the young minds of our future.

This role is a full time opportunity for an English Teacher at a secondary school in Taunton. This is to commence ASAP until October Half Term

English Teacher Responsibilities

- Delivering cover lessons

- Preparing planning if required

- Following safeguarding and school policies

- Marking work as needed

- Liaising with school staff

English Teacher Essentials

- QTS or ECT status (applications from other teaching backgrounds also welcome)

- A current DBS, or Update Service subscription (the agency can apply for this)

- A 3 year minimum reference history

- Up to date knowledge of the curriculum

- Reliability

- Excellent communication skills
