About the Role:
Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day environmental and health & safety functions across multiple operational sites in Lincolnshire. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate short and long-term environmental and H&S strategic plans to raise standards across the sites.
- Conduct environmental and health & safety risk assessments in line with legislation, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Advise managers and supervisors on implementing local practices to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and group standards.
- Be the first point of contact for all environmental and H&S matters, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the health & safety management system (ISO45001).
- Assist in accident/incident investigations and the creation/review of risk assessments.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, mandatory site surveys, and the reset program across all areas.
- Proactively promote health, safety, and environmental awareness throughout the site.
- Support internal monthly H&S meetings and audits, ensuring all issues/reports are accurately recorded.
- Collaborate with the HR team to coordinate medical screenings across both sites.
What We're Looking For:
- A team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude and a passion for health, safety, and the environment. Flexibility in working hours and duties to meet the needs of the business.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ideally, a background in FMCG or the food industry (desirable but not essential).
- Familiarity with Health & Safety Management Systems is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead behavioural health & safety initiatives.
