ESOL Tutor - YUCCA RECRUITMENT AGENCY LTD : Job Details

Purpose of the Job:To provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for learners, manage teaching in line with SALS policies, contribute to curriculum development, and provide guidance and support to learners.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Undertake teaching duties, including initial assessments, identifying individual learning needs, and providing learner induction and tutorials.
• Plan and prepare for teaching, including course outlines, lesson plans, and flexible learning materials.
• Maintain accurate class registers, monitor attendance, and support learner progression.
• Recognize and record learner progress and achievement, ensuring all learners have individual learning plans.
• Assist with course accreditation and organization of examinations and assessments.
• Comply with safeguarding, health and safety regulations, and GDPR requirements.
• Promote equal opportunities in all classroom activities and materials.
• Ensure the security of the classroom and equipment.
• Participate in course team meetings, training, and self-assessment processes.

Person Specification:Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification (Essential).
• Knowledge and training in subject specialism (CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or Teaching qualification with ELT/ESOL specialism) (Essential).
• Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (Essential).

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of teaching experience in a related industry (Essential).
• Proven track record of successful teaching outcomes (Essential).

Special Conditions of Recruitment:

• Availability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
• Willingness to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
