Imperial Recruitment Group are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively on behalf of our client to recruit an Estimator in Taunton, Somerset on Permanent Basis.Location: Taunton, SomersetSalary: CompetitiveBasis: PermanentOverviewEstimator to join our growing family run building firm operating across the Domestic, Commercial and Heritage sectors. Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Commercial Director in preparing accurate and competitive bids for various construction projects.
• Gathering and analysing project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
• Calculating material quantities and costs, labour hours, and equipment requirements.
• Assisting in the preparation of subcontractor and supplier inquiries and evaluations.
• Reviewing and analysing subcontractor bids and proposals.
• Assisting in the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets.
• Assisting with change order management and cost tracking.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in Construction Estimating, formal training/qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials. Experience across multiple construction disciplines desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
