Job Description:Job Title European Insurance Equity Research Location London Corporate Title Associate Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues. The individual will be responsible for supporting coverage of European Insurance stocks, reporting to the senior analysts on the team. You will be expected to take primary coverage of small and mid-cap insurance stocks within the first six months of joining, assisting with team coverage, including modelling, authoring research reports, and other tasks such as preparation of presentations, analysis, etc. You will help leverage relationships with companies under coverage, while also organising ad hoc roadshows, client events and conferences. Over time, we expect the role to develop such that you will take up coverage of larger market cap companies. Your key responsibilities
  • Taking on primary coverage of small and mid-cap European insurance stocks.
  • Interacting with clients.
  • Assisting the team with wider stock coverage, preparation of financial models, authoring research notes etc
  • Listening and participating in company events and presentations to understand the operations and performance of stocks under coverage
Your skills and experience
  • Strong technical skills including financial modelling and presentation
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and preferably Bloomberg (or similar)
  • Ideally some equity research background and relevant experience in the financial sector
  • Good interpersonal skills which enable you to convincingly market your ideas to the internal and external client base
