On the back of a hugely successful UK branded food launch, a category leading FMCG business is now looking to open the European market. The Senior BDM will be a key player in the expansion strategy, responsible for launching and developing the brand presence across the European market. Initiating with the German retailers / distributors with the plan to expand into other regions - fantastic entrepreneurial opportunity!

Description

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to establish and grow the Europe Business Unit
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and strategic Retail partnerships across European markets - starting with Germany!
  • Identify, engage and secure new and relevant key Distributor partnerships.
  • Oversee all aspects of business operations in Europe, including logistics, supply chain management and distribution
  • Lead the Joint business planning, negotiate cost price changes, shelf positioning, promotional activities to build the brand within the Retailer portfolio
  • Regularly report back with the senior leadership back in the UK for directional support
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts and financial reports for the European business unit

Profile

  • Demonstrable experience in a European senior business development or sales role; BDM, Sales Director or Head of Business development within the Food or FMCG industry
  • Proven experience in developing and executing strategies to enter and grow new markets, particularly in Europe
  • Extensive knowledge of the European Retailers, in particular the German nationals. Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, consumer preferences, cultural nuances and regulatory environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for unlocking new opportunities leading to listings

** Willingness to travel extensively, predominantly Germany, France, Benelux

** Preferably bi-lingual (German or French), business level
