My client is seeking an experienced Event Manager to join a small, dynamic team and take charge of an award-winning portfolio. This well-established events company is dedicated to ethical practices, collaboration, and performance-driven growth. They prioritise their people and the communities they serve. The Event Manager role offers hybrid working, with a minimum of three days a week in the office.
The Role:
- Complete event management responsibility, including strategy creation, P&L delivery, budget management, and floorplan oversight.
- Commercial management of key accounts, partners, and stakeholders, focusing on sponsorship revenue.
- Lead the event team in day-to-day operations, managing both direct reports and working cross-functionally.
- Build and strengthen partnerships to drive revenue and boost community engagement.
- Supervise marketing communications, ensuring alignment with event management goals and timely execution.
- Analyse market trends to innovate and develop new concepts and programs for the event.
- Strategise and implement methods to increase visitor attendance.
- Develop commercial campaigns to achieve revenue growth.
- Attend industry events to stay current on market trends.
- Oversee the event’s digital strategy and execution.
- Drive revenue through stand and sponsorship sales both over the phone and face-to-face.
- Attend competitor events to maintain industry knowledge and identify new business opportunities.
Ideal Background:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Event Manager or Senior Sales Manager, with expertise in strategy, P&L oversight, and stakeholder management.
- Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to boost team performance.
- Solid sales skills, with a track record of handling objections, sourcing leads, and creating partnership and sponsorship proposals.
- Innovative and forward-thinking, with a sharp awareness of market trends and future opportunities in the events industry.
- Strong creativity in developing standout event concepts.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
