Executive Assistant to the Director/Operations Manager - FMCG
Monday to Friday - 8am - 4.30pm
Annual Salary £35,000 - £45,000
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Executive Assistant/Operations Manager to join our well-established FMCG client based in BIRMINGHAM B42, WEST MIDLANDS on a full-time permanent basis.

Day-to-Day Duties
- Work alongside the Director to implement efficient business processes across all departments
- Develop and maintain systems to improve workflow, task management, and accountability
- Oversee administrative functions, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and compliance
- Coordinate communication between departments to enhance collaboration and efficiency
- Hold meetings with teams and stakeholders in the Director’s absence, documenting decisions and ensuring follow-up actions
- Track key business metrics and ensure critical tasks are completed
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial process improvements
- Manage the Director’s schedule, meetings, and correspondence, prioritizing key business objectives
- Identify and address operational bottlenecks to improve overall business performance
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to support company goals
Essential Skills
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Operations Manager, or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of business processes, system implementation, and operational efficiency
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead meetings and drive accountability
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Desirable Skills
- Experience in project management, including the use of project management software
- Familiarity with CRM tools and financial reporting systems
- Background in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience working in a fast-growing or rapidly changing business environment
- Ability to adapt quickly and proactively find solutions to operational challenges
