We’re looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to support our Engineering and Supply Directorate. The Engineering and Supply Chain Directorate (ES) designs and builds best in class lifeboats at the All-Weather Lifeboat Centre in Poole and the Inshore Lifeboat Centre on the Isle of Wight. We provide Engineering, Estates and Supply Chain solutions to the volunteers and staff at all lifeboat stations and lifeguard facilities around the coastlines of the UK and Ireland. Your role Are you a natural influencer and co-ordinator of teams? Do you want an insight into strategic planning and decision making at a Director level? Are you a confident and effective communicator?This is a very rewarding role supporting the Engineering and Supply Director and their Leadership Team. It's a very supportive and friendly leadership team, and you would be welcomed as a key team member in supporting the delivery of professional and essential engineering and supply chain expertise and services to the coast.? As an Executive Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:?? - Ensure the smooth running of the Directorates office on a day-to-day basis using your first class organisational and communication skills, including diary and email management, workload prioritisation and dealing with internal and external inquiries. and complaints.- Enabling the?Director?to provide effective, timely and quality support to their department, Senior Leadership Team, Governance Committees, and the wider organisation.? - Taking the lead on communications and engagement including drafting emails, letters, Directorate communications and events, presentations, reports, and Committee/Board papers.?? - Supporting the?Director?with governance requirements including management and engagement of internal and external stakeholders and ensuring that the processes for capturing and communicating key decisions and actions are in place, understood, and effective.? - Embracing opportunities to take on delegated authority to coordinate and, if appropriate, lead key projects, making tactical process decisions on behalf of the Director and attending internal meetings to represent the views of the?Director, where appropriate.?About You You are a?proactive individual who:? - Would love an opportunity to work alongside a Director/SLT and gain exposure working at a Senior Leadership level of a team. - A current Personal or Exec Assistant who is looking for an opportunity to gain exposure to a new business area and/or work at an EA-level role. - An individual who has experience working in an Engineering and Supply department who can offer first-class EA support to the team. - You may have the aspiration of moving into an Engineering, Operational or General Manager role as part of your career development plan, and this opportunity would give you the platform and opportunity to tailor personal development to help achieve this goal.
