Head Chef (Official title: Executive Chef)
THE POST - Executive Chef
The University of West of Scotland are recruiting for an Executive Chef to join the Campus Services team at our Paisley campus. As an Executive Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Paisley kitchen team.Ensuring the purchasing of products, food preparation and production, menu planning, overall kitchen operations are managed effectively and in line with operational requirements.
Managing the Paisley kitchen team, the post holder will be involved in allocating and prioritising the workload of the team to ensure operational and business needs are achieved. This involves making sure that all staff are fully trained and compliant across all food safety and food hygiene procedures to successfully provide an outstanding customer experience. As well as this, the Executive Chef will lead onthe planning and design of menus and create innovative choices for customers across retail, hospitality and events.

Please not that this is a two- stage interview process where suitable candidates will initially be invited for a face-to-face interview and if successful will then be invited for a practical assessment where they will prepare a dish for the panel.
