About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director level trader to join our Global Secured Trading (GST) team. Global Secured Trading ("GST") provides Wells Fargo's Corporate and Investment Banking ("CIB") client base with securities financing, backed by tradeable credit assets. Transactions are executed in the form of reverse repurchases and Total Return Swaps ("TRS") collateralized by Agency MBS, structured credit, investment grade and high yield corporates, municipals, and leverage loans. In this role, you will:
  • Drive originations and assist with the full spectrum of functions associated with the build-out of a marketable securities financing business: (including but not limited to) credit risk management, operational risk management, infrastructure development, governance, and procedures
  • Participate in the complete life cycle of structured financing transactions - from sourcing to document negotiation and risk monitoring.
  • Maintain and strengthen deep relationships in the marketplace, spanning a broad selection of counterparty types: hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies and banks.
  • Advise leadership to develop objectives, plans, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Assist clients with financial goals
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of some of the most complex and significant challenges across Securities Trading
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and resolution
  • Act as a top subject matter expert to lead complex, innovative, and diverse initiatives with high risk or with significant scope, cost, and benefits
  • Collaborate and consult with internal partners and managers
  • Serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent the company externally in industry networking events
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in Securities Trading, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Management experience
