As a Business Development Manager, you will drive regional sales growth and foster strong customer relationships through your expertise and professionalism.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers through effective communication and personalised interaction.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets.
- Utilise CRM systems to manage sales transactions and customer data efficiently.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, revenue, and market penetration.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Manage and interpret customer requirements – speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the electrical distribution or building/construction industry.
- Proven ability to develop sales strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Proficient in using CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to lead by example with a focus on reaching sales targets.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints.
