Reception Teaching Assistant - Full Time (SEND) Location: Saltley Start Date: January 2025 Our client school in Saltley is seeking an experienced Reception Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEND). This full-time, ongoing role starts in January 2025 and offers the opportunity to work closely with children in the Early Years setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to SEND children within the Reception class. Assist the teacher in adapting lessons and activities to meet individual needs. Help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment. Work closely with external specialists and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students. Candidate: Experience working with SEND children in an Early Years or school setting. Passionate about helping children overcome learning challenges. Patient, empathetic, and skilled at working with diverse needs. A relevant SEND qualification or training would be an advantage but not essential. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS · Location - Saltley, Birmingham · Position - Reception SEND Teaching Assistant · Type of work - Rececption SEND Support · Start date - January 2025 · Duration / Likely Duration - Long term opportunity for the rest of the academic year · End date (if applicable) - July 2025 · Contract type - Temporary · Full time/part time - Full tine · Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP90 per day · Hours - 8:20 am - 4pm (full day) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS · Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications · Previous experience working in a UK school - in either permanent or long-term roles · Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: · Hold Right to Work in the UK · Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application · Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
