Job Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Lichfield / Burton-on-Trent
Hours: Part time / Full time
Rate of Pay: £75.98 - £89.66 per day

We are currently supporting one of the JTMAT primary schools with recruiting an EYFS Teaching Assistant to start from 1st October 2024 on a full time, temporary ongoing basis.
Some of the responsibilities will include:
- Treating all children as individuals and to have a secure knowledge and understanding of their needs while they are within our care.
- Motivating and encouraging the children to participate in activities.
- Providing 121 and small group support within the classroom.
- Supporting the class teacher with other tasks as required.
- Ensure a clean, tidy environment conducive to fostering good Health and Safety practice.
- Ensuring the welfare and safety of children within our care.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young persons you are responsible for or come into contact with.
- Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths (A* – C) or Adult Literacy & Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in working with children or young people
- Previous experience working in a similar role
Desirable
- Other equivalent qualification relevant to children and young people
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant within Reception
