Fabrication Machine Operator - GMP RECRUITMENT LIMITED : Job Details

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a vastly successful market leading manufacturing and construction related, fabrication company.

With an exciting 2025 ahead, we are supporting their recruitment for a Fabrication Machine Operator to join their growing team on a full time, permanent contract, located in Kidderminster, to work on various machines including, Press Brake, Punch Press, Laser and Guillotines.

This position is working onsite, Monday - Friday offering £13.50 p/h (£28K) but can be negotiated higher for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be required to create programmes on the Press Brake and operate the machine to produce various complex profiles to CAD drawings provided, and within company tolerances. The sheet metal blanks that will require fabricating will be of various material types and thicknesses

Fabrication Machine Operator main duties:

• Operate the machine in a safe manner and adhere to all company health and safety rules that have been put in place.
• To be able to change over various top tooling and bottom dies when required.
• Check stock items/Basic parts to CAD drawings and ensure they are within the PGUK standard tolerances.
• Fold bespoke fabricated products to a high standard using CAD drawings.
• Ensure that all safety precautions are strictly adhered to
• Ensure all paperwork is filled in correctly when required

Fabrication Machine Operator required skills and experience:

• Knowledge of fabrication machinery and a manufacturing environment is essential
• 5+ years’ operating and programming Press Brakes in a safe manner.
• Ability to read technical drawings
• The ability to work as part of a team to achieve the aims of the Company.
