Job Description :
  • Duration: 6 Month temporary contract
  • Working Hours:  Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Office based initially, hybrid working (1 day per week) available

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Coordinator to manage the services and processes required for our clients’ offices. This role is crucial in ensuring an effective working environment for employees both onsite and remotely. As a Facilities Advisor, you will handle a range of responsibilities from the physical environment to Health, Environment, Security, and Safety to enhance workplace productivity and safety.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Identify workstation issues and develop tailored solutions through DSE assessments.
  • Ensure all employees complete online DSE training and self-assessments.
  • Train and support managers in DSE responsibilities for their teams.
  • Manage vendor relationships for DSE services, including performance management.
  • Organise and deliver staff training on safe manual handling, HESS inductions, and evacuation chair use.
  • Develop strategies to ensure safe working environments and perform accident investigations.
  • Act as the Safety Liaison for company events, managing risk assessments and controls.
  • Oversee utility readings, energy use analysis, and waste management information.
  • Support the management of the Facilities Department Business Continuity Plan.
  • Handle out-of-hours responsibilities for offices as part of a rota with the Facilities Manager.
  • Coordinate deliveries and removals of furniture and manage meeting room and project room allocations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
  • Trained and experienced DSE Workstation Assessor and Manual Handling Trainer.
  • Extensive experience within a facilities department.
  • Strong experience in risk assessment theory and practice.
  • Ability to manage high workloads with excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and in challenging circumstances.
