Facilities Manager

My client are seeking a Facilities Manager to act as the single point of contact for 2 contracts in their portfolio This role is crucial in ensuring that service delivery is managed to the highest standards, encompassing a broad range of responsibilities from operational management to strategic planning.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide direct line management and leadership to all site team functions, including caretakers, cleaning, and site supervisors.
- Oversee subcontractor delivery services such as Pest Control, Grounds Maintenance, catering, security, and waste management providers.
- Implement and maintain safe systems of work, ensuring all building facilities adhere to safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Support Senior Site management with operational delivery and improvements.
- Develop building plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs, forecasting the facility’s future needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols.
- Conduct frequent site audits to review standards and performance.
- Develop and implement training programmes for site teams, ensuring all staff receive appropriate training and development.
- Manage sourcing of contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, cleaning, renovations, waste disposal, security, and IT systems.
- Oversee and develop processes to support the Contracts delivery of Compliance.
- Attend all FM Meetings ensuring actions are closed within agreed timescales.
- Manage HR issues within your teams in line with corporate policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Facilities Management, experience with PFI is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS Clearance.
- IOSH/NEBOSH or similar health and safety qualification.
- Knowledge of H&S, Environmental Legislation and Practice relating to FM.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using CAFM Asset Management packages.
