Facilities Operative

Location: WaterbeachSalary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annumHours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

About the Role:We are seeking a Facilities Operative to join our client's team and provide daily maintenance support for the facility. Reporting to the Facilities Advisor, you will play a key role in maintaining site standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols, and supporting both production and office needs.

• Comply with and promote site safety procedures.
• Perform general site maintenance, including plumbing, joinery repairs, and grounds upkeep.
• Conduct site inspections and checks to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure work is completed to high standards and on time.
• Support environmental initiatives and implement visual factory/5S improvements.
• Provide production and office support, responding to general and emergency maintenance needs.
• Understand and address basic engineering systems, such as HVAC and plumbing.

• Proactive and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Comfortable working at height.
• Valid forklift and driving licenses (essential).

• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet production goals.
• Availability for emergency callouts and production support.
