Purpose of the Role
In general, the post-holder is expected to be flexible and undertake duties as required by Management, including performing hands-on routine and reactive maintenance to buildings, facilities and infrastructure including basic DIY standard plumbing, joinery and painting.
Key Responsibilities
- Will have good maintenance skills e.g. changing light bulbs, fixing breakages etc.
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated. The ideal candidate will have initiative and undertake tasks as needed and with little or no instruction.
- Be a rapport builder and someone who takes pride in ensuring tenants and visitors have an enjoyable experience.
- Excellent communications skills and an ability to identify and resolve problems, always providing a high standard of customer service.
- To deal with any matters as directed by his/her line manager.

- To report any defect or health and safety concern, no matter what its nature, to your line manager.
- To attend training courses as directed by his employer Savills, also completing regular Toolbox talks.
- First port of call for all maintenance repairs to common areas, and callouts.
- Perform hands-on routine and reactive maintenance to buildings, facilities and infrastructure including basic DIY standard plumbing, joinery and painting.
- Ensure health & safety procedures are reinforced and clearly highlighted at all sites.
- Manage contractors that arrive on site effectively where required, and make sure they adhere to the Savills site rules.
- Frequent checking of the Facilities job cards to ensure all allocated work is dealt with efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with DSE requirements.
- Perform building checks and testing including fire alarms and extinguishers.
- Respond to emergency requests as required.
- Assist with Office moves, moving furniture and specialist equipment.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Must have a good facilities background ideally with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Be part of a wider team and happy to complete training where required for site, including Tool box talks.
- Must be a hands-on person used to physically demanding work.
Working Hours - 08:00am – 17:00pm Monday – Friday 45 hour week
Salary - £12.40
