We're excited to be working with CAFCASS to recruit a Locum Social Worker for their Family Court Adviser Team in the Manchester area.

Your Role:
  • Provide expert social work-level services to children, families, and courts.
  • Assess and analyse court applications for child protection and welfare issues.
  • Act as a skilled negotiator, working persuasively with families and professionals.
  • Advocate for children, ensuring their voice is central to court proceedings.
  • Manage complex caseloads with a focus on relationship-based and systemic practice.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified Social Worker with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection risks, procedures, and systemic approaches.
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to work within a paperless system.
  • Child-focused with a demonstrated ability to advocate effectively in court.
