A highly organised Family Legal Assistant or Paralegal is required to provide comprehensive administrative support to Fee Earners within the Family Law department of our client, a highly regarded firm with several offices in the North & West Yorkshire areas.Based at their Skipton office, this position plays a key part in ensuring the efficient management of client matters while maintaining high professional standards.Key Responsibilities:
- Managing client matters accurately and efficiently using the case management system, Proclaim, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Preparing, organising, and maintaining legal files and supporting documentation.
- Handling diary management, including scheduling client appointments and other meetings.
- Drafting and formatting client correspondence via audio typing, word processing, or digital dictation.
- Managing client and third-party calls, enquiries, and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Overseeing emails, post, photocopying, and general administrative tasks as required.
- Preparing court documentation, including e-bundling.
- Uploading documents accurately via the online divorce portal.
- Assisting with client billing and account management.
- Providing support to colleagues and the management team when needed.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong verbal communication – Ability to listen attentively and respond professionally.
- Excellent written communication – Clear, concise writing with accurate grammar and punctuation.
- Exceptional organisational skills – Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in IT systems – Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management software (Proclaim).
