Chambers is now seeking to recruit a newly created position of Fees/Billing Clerk to join the finance team dealing with the collection of Barristers’ professional fees.
With 81 barristers and 26 members of staff, chambers has seen significant growth over the past decade, expanding their Silks team from 9 to 25 KCs, and recruiting 45 new tenants. The Role
Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Clerking and Head of Finance as Billing Clerk, you will oversee, implement, and continually improve Chambers’ billing systems. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all professional fees are billed accurately and processed promptly. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Clerking (practice management) and Fees teams to streamline billing procedures, implement best practices for efficiency, and monitor the performance of billing operations.
This role requires strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to identify areas for process improvement to support Chambers’ financial objectives.
Suitable applicants will combine practical billing experience with financial acumen. They will possess a collaborative team mindset and client care. This is a hands-on role, where the successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing success of Chambers.
