TTI UK distributes Milwaukee and Ryobi products through a variety of channels to retail customers and end users. We continue to grow in an established and stable market.

We have an Area Sales Executive Plumbing position available within the UK Milwaukee Team, reporting to the Head of Plumbing Sales.

Within this role, you will operate within your own defined territory with a main focus on developing and growing the existing and new accounts with their passion and commitment to our brand.

We are looking for someone to cover the South West & South East. Being based along the M3 Corridor would be ideal for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • The ability to work under your own initiative to co-ordinate and implement the Milwaukee growth strategy, focusing on pricing structure and profitable sales growth

  • Essential to the role is relationship building with key customers and development of new clients within your territory

  • Maintain the annual business plans down to the account level in line with the business unit strategy

  • Maximize turnover and profitability with existing accounts to achieve overall business unit targets

  • Identify and deliver any new opportunities for business growth within existing and new accounts through strategic product range development and promotional planning

  • Provide effective forecasting figures to your line manager with monthly turnover estimates in line with target and budget expectations

  • Effective communication in keeping the internal stakeholders such as management, finance, logistics, marketing, product development and customer services up to date with key developments in accounts and regular market intelligence

  • Ability to explore alternative distribution channels to further grow the trade business and drive our products within the UK

  • To carry out other ad hoc responsibilities as requested by the Line Manager from time to time

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • An understanding of the Plumbing sector is desirable and an ability to build that knowledge into business objectives to help achieve growth.

  • Relevant Sales and Marketing Qualification desirable

  • Relevant 1 or more years sales experience within the Plumbing sector desirable, with a track record of selling and promoting products within retailers, merchants or specialist distributors

  • Strong selling and negotiation skills to help build business relations and to further grow/strengthen these to develop market share and profitability

  • Passion and enthusiasm for our brand

  • Ability to work closely with colleagues to achieve personal, team and company objectives

  • Sound product knowledge and commitment to excellent customer service

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral

  • Strong planning and territory development skills

  • Good IT skills (mainly power point, excel and word) to analyse and report data to the management team to aid with territory evaluations and to create appropriate presentations for customers in the marketplace.

  • Effective time management skills with ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Some UK travel and occasional European trips may be required
