Job Description :

We are delighted to be partnering with an innovative consolidator in the wealth management and financial planning arena who are looking to appoint a diligent Field Compliance Officer.

You will join their team tasked with ensuring their new and existing advisors meet the compliance requirements of the FCA.

You will be pivotal in making sure that the firm adheres to the FCA’s regulatory requirements, standards and their internal policies at each of their sites across the West of England and beyond. The ideal candidate will be proficient in analysing and implementing regulations and procedures that comply with the regulatory framework under the SMCR, TC (Training & Competency) and FIT.

You will monitor activities to ensure that advice provided is suitable and fully compliant with the Consumer Duty. Your contributions will be crucial in safeguarding their clients’ financial wellbeing and enhancing their reputation by ensuring that the organisation strictly follows guidelines.

You'll report to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and MLRO and will be supported by a major national compliance consultancy.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective compliance monitoring programme in conjunction with the CCO.
  • Report on monitoring visits to sites and thematic reviews across the business
  • Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit findings and compliance violations.
  • Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risk.
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
  • Ensure certified advisors comply with the FCA FIT and TC regimes
  • Assist the CCO in the development and delivery of training on the latest regulations and processes.
  • Resolve employee concerns about legal compliance.
  • On occasion, deputise for the CCO.

Requirements:

  • A self starer who can work independently
  • Ability to travel (Driving licence).
  • Experience as a Compliance Officer
  • Professional qualification or working towards one in financial planning (CISI, CII, LIBF.)
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes and regulations.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent organisational skills.

The role is paying up to £55k plus car allowance (or £60k without). Travel around South West of England is expected with occasional travel to London.

Salary : 50000 - 60000
