The successful Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for providing high quality field based technical expertise. The main element of this role will be to provide this high level of field-based support direct to customers within the UK.
- To carry out repairs, on site commissioning, service and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment to the stated processes and procedures which will also include where required the provision of on-site customer training.
- Carry out upgrades and refurbishments on customer site.
- Handle on site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
- Must be prepared to adapt to all types of environments and comply with local client's health and safety regulations.
- Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with the company procedures.
- Expected to co-operate by working overtime as and when required.
- To be part of the on-call standby rota system as required
- Must be prepared to learn a diverse set of products and continually improve your product knowledge.
To be successful in this role of Field Service Engineer we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
- Good Technical Electrical / Electronics skills
- Minimum ONC or similar qualification in electromechanical / electrical engineering
- Ideally experience in a field service role and familiar with all aspects of customer service including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
- PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage
