The Role - Field Service Engineer (London and South East)
The primary purpose of this role is to sustain good customer relationships and provide a variety of technical operating and service advice to customers located throughout predominately London and the South East.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities:
Your main duties will comprise, but are not limited to:
- Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are promoted and adhered to in accordance with company requirements and current legislation
- Maintain a clean working environment, taking responsibility for personal housekeeping, van, tools and equipment
- Maintenance, repair, troubleshooting of products
- To provide emergency call-out cover within defined area of responsibility and attend breakdowns as required
- Maintain on-line work diary liaising with both Service Control and customers to ensure any changes to the diary, work patterns or customer data are managed efficiently and effectively
- Complete all Job documentation in a timely manner, ensuring correct allocation of labour and parts used and correct write-up of associated paperwork
- Ensure internal and external warranty claims are processed on a timely basis and in line with company procedures.
- To follow and always promote best practice and work to 'Right -first- time’ standards of workmanship to minimise repeat repairs and vehicle down-time
- Component and spare parts damage assessment
- In liaison with internal Departments, ensure all parts returns are documented and returned in a timely manner in accordance with agreed company procedure
- Ensure all processes and documentation meet and maintain ready for ISO standards of accreditation
- Spare parts technical advice for the customer
- The introduction of new cranes and components
- You work from home and travel around the UK
Skills / (preferred) previous experience:
- Associate/Technical degree or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
- You are Customer service driven and promote Customer Service Excellence
- Good mechanical skills with solid understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
- The willingness to learn and ability to work well within a diverse environment
- Self-motivated, well organised with good interpersonal skills

- Good computer skills
- Clean drivers licence
- Overnights stays required
The Package
- Salary £47,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (Saturday paid at time and a half, Sunday’s paid at double time)

- Bonuses - company and individual this will be paid at 6.5% of your annual salary
