Senior Finance Assistant

Design Consultancy | Central London | 30-35k | Hybrid (2-3 days a week in the office)

A rapidly growing, successful independent design studio are on the lookout for a confident and experienced finance assistant to join their close knit team.

You will support the day to day running of the finance department across London and Europe.

Working above a finance assistant and under a Finance Manager this is a great opportunity to manage all aspects of transactional finance from AP and AR to budgeting.

Responsibilities - Finance Assistant

• Ownership of APinbox
• Preparing bi-weekly payment runs for all entities
• Assisting the MA with intercompany posting, reconciliations and generating billings
• Assisting with VAT return checks & ensuring compliance
• Liaise with the Client Services Team to coordinate efficient client billing
• Chasing debtors and reporting on outstanding debts
• Chase outstanding timesheets on Paprika
• Adhering to strict month end deadlines
• Assistance with year-end audit
• Other ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

The Person - Finance Assistant

• Self starter with a pro-active approach
• Strong communication skills in order to confidently talk to staff of different seniority levels and stakeholders
• Proven bookkeeping experience
• Experience working in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment is highly advantageous
• Previous experience using an accounting software called Paprika is highly desired
