Finance Assistant
Full time - £25,000-£27,000 per annumOur client is a well-established family-owned business who are based in Burnley who specialises in crafting high-quality goods with a focus on providing the highest level, of service to several national customers.
They are now looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the team and manage the processing of purchase orders, expenses, weekly payroll, and building great relationships with suppliers. SAGE Pay and Excel experience is essential when applying for this role.
Duties will also include:
Take full control of the payroll process on a weekly basis
Understand and calculate the SMP/SSP and holiday pay where applicable
Responsibility for ordering of stock, processing the delivery notes and matching against purchase orders
Build client relationships with suppliers
Manage the allocation of all the purchase ledger invoices daily
Process the company expenses on a weekly basis and be the main point of contact for queries
Work across the business with internal personnel to resolve queries
Role based requirements and skills:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in processing payroll and working in a busy accounts environment
Understanding the process of a purchase system from start to finish
Experienced in SAGE Payroll and Excel
Knowledge in processing SMP, SSP and holiday entitlements is desirable
Confident at communicating with suppliers and other team members in the business
