Finance Assistant

Up to £32,000 per annum (pro-rata)

12-month FTC

Horsham - Must be a driver

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
  • Assist with audits and prepare documentation for internal and external auditors.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve financial queries.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a finance or accounting role (1-2 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • AAT qualification or working towards a professional qualification (desirable).
