Job Title: Finance Assistant (Cashiering & Junior Insolvency MVL)Location: Warrington
Imperium Financial Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established firm in Warrington for the role of Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate-calibre candidate with at least one year of experience in a finance role, looking to develop their skills in both cashiering and insolvency work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Senior Cashier with daily cashiering duties, including managing client accounts, processing payments, and handling banking transactions.
- Supporting the team with junior-level work on Members' Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) projects, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal and external financial regulations.
- Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Assisting with general finance tasks such as accounts payable/receivable and data entry.
- Providing administrative support to the finance department.
- Working closely with senior team members to gain knowledge and experience in insolvency procedures.
Requirements:
- Graduate calibre, preferably with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Good understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.
