Finance Assistant - Axon Moore Group Ltd : Job Details

Your new companyYour new company is a market leading logistics business in the Lancaster area. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis.Your new role

• Maintain Sales ledger and Purchase Ledger postings on Sage.

• Reconciling company bank accounts weekly.

• Set up a weekly payment run and once agreed set up payments for FD authorisation on the online banking platform.

• Monthly levy sheet and calculation.

• Updating and maintaining the foreign exchange deals log.

• Provide a monthly debtors report and weekly credit control of due customer invoices.

• Complete month end reports to be used to assist FD in the monthly MA pack e.g. transport analysis.

• Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines - requirements as requested.

• General office duties to include – filing, answering the telephone.

• Make travel bookings as required to include for example flights, hotels, parking, trains.

• Order stationery and other ad hoc office supplies as required.

• Liaising with auditors.

• Providing adhoc information in a timely manner as required by FD/MD.

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 5 years experience in a similar role
• Ability to understand and act upon written and verbal instructions.
• AAT Qualified / Part Qualified
• Experience in Sage is preferred but not essential.
• All round experience in finance and adaptable approach to the role.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
