Finance AssistantNigel Wright are proudly working with a Sunderland based organisation who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team, initially on a 10 month fixed term contract. This newly created Finance Assistant role is a full time position (37.5 hours) and will sit within their established finance team, supporting their current team with processing and systems.
The RoleThis is a varied Finance Assistant role that will cover Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Income Management, Payroll and other adhoc Finance related duties.Typical duties will be:
- Checking, coding and entering purchase invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Income analysis
- Calculating and raising sales invoices
- Assisting the maintenance of the income contracts register
- Credit control and debt collection
- Assisting with the maintenance of the supplier contracts register
- Petty cash and expenses
- Assisting with monthly payroll processing and payment
- Credit card and purchasing card processing.
- Preparation of journals
- Other adhoc finance duties
The CandidateThe ideal candidate for this role will have:
- At least 2 years accounts/ finance experience
- AAT Qualified / or any other related finance qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable and enthusiastic approach to work
