Finance Assistant - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your New CompanyAn exciting manufacturing company is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team. They are seeking a motivated, passionate individual who can make an immediate impact and progress their career in a well-established environment.Your New RoleAs a Finance Assistant, you will:

• Oversee and manage the entire payment process, including vendor payments, licensor payments, subcontractor payments, employee reimbursements, and intercompany transfers.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all payments in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Verify new vendors and any bank changes according to company policies.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Collaborate with Sales Managers and Merchandising Teams to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoices.
• Monitor cash flow and forecast payment schedules to ensure sufficient funds are available for project needs.
• Develop and implement payment policies and procedures to improve efficiency and control.
• Resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
• Prepare and present regular reports on payment activities and financial status to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in payment management.
• Raise and answer queries through the appropriate channels, liaising with relevant stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• AAT Level 2 or higher.
• Ability to manage deadlines.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
