The Role

We are looking for a Business and Finance Administrator to provide a wide range of clerical, administrative and financial support to our operational services and the wider business as a while. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked for a consultancy in an operational or administrative support capacity.

Accountabilities

You will work as part of a varied and diverse team who have a range of experiences across the renewable industry. As a CEA team member, you will help to support the team in problem solving day to day issues that arise from teams and managers. This includes (but is not limited to) the opportunity to:

  • Support the Financial Controller with the sales and purchase ledger and other financial tasks as required
  • Maintenance and management of the supplier register and due diligence
  • Responsibility for maintaining our client and procurement portals
  • To undertake a range of financial support processes, processing orders, procurement of items, sales and purchase ledger entries and processes.
  • Assist with HR matters as instructed, including arrangements and support for new starters, and the administration of employee benefits
  • Ensure minutes and actions from meetings are issued, maintained, and stored in an appropriate manner
  • Responsible for the organisation of travel, meetings, conferences, and events (including research for the same)
  • Office management and oversight
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO45001), including updating and maintaining systems, procedures, and records to ensure the effective delivery of service and processes.
  • Contribute to and assist with the provision of reports and updates to the Board and Leadership Team as and when required
  • Support and assist in the auditing process for the integrate management systems, as well as any other accreditations or accolades held and maintained by CEA.
  • Providing business support to members all CEA members as and when required

Knowledge

The individual must be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Demonstratable IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office software
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks within a business environment
  • Experience of using financial software
  • An understanding of sales and purchase ledger
  • Clear, concise communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to build effective relationships and influence.
  • Drive to learn independently.
  • Experience of, or support of, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 management and maintenance

Desirable

  • Experience of using Xero Accounting Software
  • Experience of personnel administration
  • Previous experience of office management/administration
  • Experience in the renewables industry or other consultancy environment

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to 5 GCSEs (A-C) including English and Maths or Relevant QCF Level 2 or equivalent

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act requirements
  • RSA Stage 2, CLAIT, ECDL or equivalent
  • Xero Certified

Skills & Aptitude

  • Possess an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised independently working to tight schedules and managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work to the company values and culture.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to identify and resolve.

£20k - £28k (Dependent on experience)
