Core Duties/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Monthly reporting / Business partnering

  • Support preparation of monthly results for the MyCSP entity working closely with the MyCSP Financial Accountant, wider EQP finance team and MyCSP Head of Finance
  • Preparation of monthly cost centre reporting and monthly meetings with Functional Heads of Department to understand and challenge variances to budget/forecast
  • FTE reporting across MyCSP functions
  • Support budget and forecasting process - ownership of staff costs and functional cost centres, work with cost centre managers to prepare and manage budgets
  • Monthly revenue forecasts - work with revenue owners to collect, collate and challenge revenue forecast data
  • Preparation of Inter Company accruals and accurate tracking
  • Support the development, modelling and reporting capability using the Equiniti Group's planning tool, Adaptive Insights and Workday
  • Provide support to the Financial Accountant and Head of Finance as required
  • Provide support to cost centre owners

Project Financials / Commercial support

  • Track and provide analysis of large projects
  • Owner of the Project financial pricing model
  • First line review of project business cases
  • Oversee timesheet reporting against projects, provide meaningful analysis and investigate variances with Project Managers and PMO
  • Project accruals and preparation of supporting data for invoicing clients

Other responsibilities

  • Further develop major project and programme tracking models to provide meaningful financial and risk insights
  • Gainshare - preparation of detailed gainshare workings for major client
  • Utilise financial and performance MI to identify and proactively drive areas for performance improvement
  • Work closely with the Offshore FP&A function to achieve business outcomes, including accuracy of the overall numbers
  • Provide cover for the other finance team members as required
  • Production of ad-hoc analysis / insight as requested
  • Support the production and monitoring of business cases as appropriate.

Skills, qualifications, knowledge and mobility.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours and able to fulfil the mobility requirements of the role:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Demonstrable Experience in a similar management accounting / business partnering role
  • Ability to drive results, having a track record of high performance and examples of delivering financial and process improvements
  • Advanced excel modelling skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate finance issues to non-finance staff
  • Experience of working with and supporting senior staff to develop budgets and understand variances
  • Exhibiting a growth mindset; having an inquisitive mind and desire to learn
  • Self-motivated with an ability to organise and work independently
  • Team player

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge or Workday and Adaptive insights
  • Basic understanding of VBA

Mobility Requirements

Domestic - Occasional travel required within the UK

Please note, this is a remote role. however, you may be required to travel to our Liverpool Office as required.
