Job Description :

The Finance Business Partner will support the business in its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will partner closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Head of People to provide strategic financial insight and contribute to decision-making at the highest level.

Our Client is a fast-growing Marketplace tech start-up headquartered in London with expanding operations across Europe. They have recently made a strategic acquisition that they are integrating into the business to continue to expand their product offering across Europe.

Description

  • Serve as a trusted finance advisor to the CMO, COO, and Head of People, supporting key strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and actionable insights to support financial objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial data, business cases, and investment appraisals to executives and investors.
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making, evaluating market opportunities, product launches, and operational efficiencies.
  • Monitor key financial metrics, recommending actions for cost optimization and improved profitability.
  • Prepare financial models and ROI analysis for capital investment and business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with European teams to ensure financial alignment and compliance with local regulations.
  • Participate in strategic projects to support business expansion and scaling efforts.

Profile

  • CIMA qualified Management Accountant with 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a business partnering role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, preferably in a tech start-up or scale-up.
  • Strong ability to present complex financial information to executives and investors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting strategic decision-making processes, with an understanding of key commercial drivers.
  • Strong business acumen and a commercial mindset.
  • Exposure to international operations and knowledge of European financial regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
