Cedar is seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join an NHS Trust in the South East and take ownership over the financial management function, support with business planning & budgeting and enhance efficiency within Divisions.
Rate: Band 8B £225 - £280 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: South East
Hybrid Working Pattern: 3 days on site per week
Contract Length: 3 months
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert financial advice and information to Divisions and Directorates.
- Manage a team of Business Partners and work together to upskill the Trust on budgetary management and financial understanding.
- Spearhead the financial management function and all aspects of income and expenditure.
- Oversee the monthly reporting cycle and delivery of timely & accurate financial reports.
- Identify cost efficiencies and potential productivity opportunities across Divisions.
- Collaborate with the senior team on long-term strategies for the financial management services and implement business planning & budgeting processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes & procedures and assist with the development of the system of controls.
- Work closely with the PMO and Managers to effectively monitor and deliver the Cost Improvement Process (CIP).
- Participate in the monthly review of the trust's financial performance and make recommendations where applicable.
- Oversee the management accounting service.
- Consistently review budgets, financial principles and polices and implementing enhancements where possible.
Requirements
- Fully CCAB qualified with substantial CPD.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting policies and regulations within the NHS.
- Experience with financial management and development of internal controls.
