Reed Finance are working with an innovative Engineering company based in Bath recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join them on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
This role will be a key addition to an established finance team within a friendly and inclusive organisation.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the financial and project accounting for the Advisory and Projects Units.
This role involves the production of end-to-end management accounts, accurate reporting of revenue and costs on projects, senior stakeholder communication, and managing junior team members to ensure all unit reporting is completed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the end-to-end production of management accounts and accurate reporting of project revenue and costs for the Advisory and Projects Units.
- Production of budgets and quarterly forecasting.
- Preparing monthly reporting packs and leading the consolidation of discipline results.
- Reviewing and challenging project financial risks and opportunities within the project portfolio.
- Managing several disciplines within the unit, providing direct monthly finance support.
- Collaborating with the Project Operations Team.
- Presenting financial analysis and KPIs at monthly leadership meetings to drive value, add advice, and support.
- Preparing month-end reports showing consolidated positions for the senior leadership team.
- Providing financial and commercial decision support for unit leaders.
- Proactively seeking continuous improvement within all aspects of the role.
- Ensuring adherence to local finance policies and procedures.
- Conducting Project Partner and Project Director portfolio reviews.
- Overseeing a small team.
